After this fulfilling start, our next stop is SAVIA, a sanctuary for biodiversity and scientific discovery. Designed as a natural playground, it invites you to interact intimately with the flora and fauna of the tropical forest in a truly symbiotic way. Whether you’re a birdwatcher, nature lover, or adventure enthusiast, Monteverde really has it all.

Your forest immersion will guide you through the different layers of the forest—from the understory to the canopy—via hanging bridges, rope climbs, and multi-level platforms built around a 91-foot fig tree, where gourmet snacks and beverages prepared by Hotel Belmar’s chef await you amidst the treetops. To conclude this amazing day, you’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at Hotel Belmar, where the cuisine and mixology are elevated by a caring selection of fresh, sustainable ingredients that pay homage to Costa Rica’s agricultural traditions.
